We're coming from Incirlik and couldn't be happier to be leaving this place and soon!! In reality its not too bad here but you grow tired of alot of the BS things you have to deal w/t ....Turkish fee's and fines for about anything you can think of, not to mention its a bit 3rd world here, i love history so that pretty much kept my interest for 2 years w/t all the sites to check out..... But we're pretty excited to be coming to Yokota, i was hoping for somewhere in Europe but the only thing available overseas was Kadena and Yokota and still needing a break from AFSOC so i put Yokota on top, plus I've heard nothing but good things about there "well except for some of the people on here" lol, but as far as those i run into coming through Incirlik they seem to love it. I've never been to Japan so its should make for an interesting experience =)

Don't listen to those grouch-bags, BapeSta... this place is great.

You know, if you won the lottery, wouldn't you be ecstatic to get all that free money?
Or would you be one of those that would complain about the fact you have to pay taxes on your winnings?
Free money is free money! Some people just need perspective adjustments; or they enjoy being miserable.
If you're not enjoying it, you're doing it wrong...

I so agree with Enchanter... if you at all adventurous.. (OMG.. that doesn't look right... did I spell that right?) ... you will LOVE it here. The culture is SO incredibly interesting, the Japanese nationals are amazing, and there is so much to do and see we have not even scratched the surface and we've been here for 3 years. Thankfully, we have the chance to stay after my husband's retirement, getting SOFA under me at my position. I am totally thrilled that we don't have to go back... as long as my year long management training goes as well as planned! I'm sure keeping my fingers crossed!
