Looking for good Mexican or TexMex restaurant

Postby annunaki on Tue Mar 02, 2010 12:42 am

We're looking for a good Mexican or TexMex restaurant somewhat near the local area. We'd rather drive than take a train. Any suggestions?

Also, are there any good ones around Yokuska?

Oh I wish APO Ads was at a place it could help you with this now...

I know someone who cooks authentic Mexican food for parties, and he's looking to get a catering gig going on Yokota. I'll let him know to check this site out and PM ya.

I've heard of a good one near Yokosuka, it's called Mike's TexMex, never eaten there, but everyone who has says it's great. Not local, but next time you're at the New Sanno, La Jolla is really good, just right around the corner from Hiroo station.

Yeah, I went to Mike's last year and it was fantastic. Only problem is that it takes so long to get there.

Mikes TexMex in Yokosuka is really good. We are from California and know real mexican food and they have it. Small place, very casual. Fresh food and it is priced OK for around here. A few times when we have been going to Yokosuka for whatever ("lets go to see what they have that their NEX") we will be driving down the final stretch and say "OH we forgot about Mikes" and THAT makes the whole drive and tolls all worth while!

!Vamos a comer !

Glad someone asked this question as I have been wondering where a good place has been on any base since Yokota closed the East side Mexican resteraunt. It wasn't great, it was better than Taco Bell.

Eating cold Hormel Chili over a stale Dorito is better than Taco Bell though...
so that wasn't much of a compliment. :D
If you're not enjoying it, you're doing it wrong...
